To Do Today: Suprasensorial @ the Hirshhorn

Share

Feel free to get hands-on at the Hirshhorn‘s newest exhibition, “Suprasensorial: Experiments in Light, Color and Space.” Five brilliant multimedia installations challenge perceptions of light, color, and space, and prove that art isn’t simply a static experience. Products of the “Light and Space” movement in Latin America, the art is all participatory. Their optical effects and sensory submersion tiptoe on the verge of overload, and allow the viewer to fully explore art—in both an intellectual and physical way.

And tonight, the Hirshhorn hosts a special panel discussion at 7 p.m. (extending their normal hours), featuring “Suprasensorial” artists and the exhibit curators.
